Pilotage tariffs to increase by 7.97% in 2025

The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has set the pilotage tariffs for 2025. These tariffs will increase by 7.97% compared with 2024. The main reasons for this are an increase in costs for the Dutch pilots (5.7%) and a decrease in revenues because of fewer vessel passages (0.5%) combined with yearly changes in the type of vessel passages.

In line with the tariff proposal, ACM also set the tariffs and fees for the other services and tasks such as education and examination of declaration holders (these are exempted from the pilotage requirement). These tariffs increase by 6.84%.
